The wedding of Fae & Craig was a special one. The two had previously had an imaginative proposal where Craig put a ring of promise on Fae that one day they will tie the knot in full bloom of their love.  Both Fae & Craig were relaxed and easy going all through the preparations heading to the wedding day.

The Wedding Venue

The decision to hold the wedding at Allerton Castle was reached by both of them and it was largely influenced by several referrals that they got from trusted friends. Allerton Castle was built back in 1066 and currently owned by a surgeon. Allerton Castle is truly a fairytale venue and a magical location for memorable and fairytale weddings like that of Fae & Craig. The stunning setting of the venue created a stately home atmosphere for friends and relatives of the couple to come together to celebrate this remarkable milestone against a picturesque backdrop of incredible gardens.

While there was an option for Fae & Craig to keep the wedding intimate and simple, they choose to take advantage of the beautiful grounds and facilities to give their wedding a touch of elegance. With a capacity of up to 120 guests, the Castle was all the couple needed for their entire wedding from the ceremony to the reception. Any wedding done in spring or summer at Allerton Castle benefits from the beautifully landscaped gardens spanning across 100 acres of immaculate grounds. The roses were in full bloom and looked absolutely amazing.

The Wedding Photography Session

Craig was the official photographer for the wedding. I had an opportunity to meet Fae & Craig at the I-Do Wedding Fair held at Elland Road in Leeds, in February 2017. The event brought together wedding suppliers and other service providers as they displayed their products to potential clients. Right from the moment we shook hands, I knew without a single doubt that this is an amazing couple I would want to work with as I document the journey of their lives through photography.

On the wedding day, our team of photographers arrived early at the venue and we split ourselves so that others would go and cover the bride as she prepares. It is our tradition at Craig Garside Photography to bring the best of our photography machines and powerful cameras so that we can give our very best to our clients. Our coverage started 2 hours prior and we filmed everything from the bridal elements to the bridal team, the procession to the venue, the ceremony, the first look, walking down the aisle, the exchange of vows, and the reception.

The marriage could best be described as one of best friends and as you would expect, there were so many light moments. We have the experience of capturing every emotion and in this wedding, our team of photographers mingled with the crowd which made it very easy for them to get up close and candid photos. We stayed on until 10 p.m. taking photos in the night which obviously is a challenging task, but our lighting system is always topnotch. As a matter of fact, most of our powerful and romantic pictures are usually those taken in the night. One of the reasons why we succeeded in pulling off such as a spectacular wedding photography for Fae and Craig is because we worked with suppliers whom we are familiar with and they had a photo booth plus a magician. Thanks to the excellent work we did, Fae and Craig agreed to our request to do us a video testimonial.
